The traditional barbecue contest-fest was held in Akhtala

For the seventh time the traditional barbecuecontest-festwas held in the monastery complexyard of Akhtala.

In one of the historical centers of Lori region were gathered the representatives of dozens of republics’ restaurants,barbecuefanciers and tourists.
The festival was organized by "Armenian Cookery Traditions Development and Protection" NGO.The president of the NGO SedrakMamulyan said that by organizing the event in Akhtala they want to give an impetus to the provincial life and tourism in the region.
Besides the degustation of dozens types of barbecue, the festival also had a cultural part; performances of artistic groups, exhibition of crafts and agricultural products.
